Research Policy
In order to encourage faculty members to actively engage in research activities, the College has implemented a comprehensive Research Policy. Project-based courses are also introduced to foster a strong research culture among students and promote innovation, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
The College regularly organizes programs on Research Methodology, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), publication ethics, and related topics to nurture a culture of research, innovation, and academic excellence.
Financial Assistance to Faculty Members
1. Participation in Conferences / Workshops
Every faculty member is expected to participate in at least one National Seminar/Conference/Workshop (or International Conference/Symposium/Workshop held in India) per academic year.
Financial assistance shall be provided based on the evaluation made by the R&D Committee with respect to:
- Quality of the research paper submitted/presented
- Genuineness and credibility of the Seminar/Conference/Workshop
If recommended by the R&D Committee, the faculty member may be reimbursed:
- Conference/Workshop Registration Fee, and
- 3-tier AC return train fare / AC bus fare to the venue of the conference, or
- Rs. 4,000/- (Rupees Four Thousand only), whichever is lower.
For participation in top-ranking international conferences held outside India, the case shall be evaluated individually by the R&D Committee. Based on its recommendation, necessary seed money may be provided.
2. Membership Fee of Professional Bodies
Faculty members shall be reimbursed:
- 50% of the membership fee of recognized professional bodies, or
- Rs. 4,000/- (Rupees Four Thousand only), whichever is lower.
3. Financial Incentives for Research Publications
Minimum Requirement: Every faculty member is expected to publish at least two research papers in national or international journals per academic year.
Incentive Structure:
Rs. 2,000/- per paper for publications in referred
SCI/SCIE/ESCI/SCOPUS (Thomson Reuters) / ABDC indexed journals.
Rs. 1,000/- per paper for publications in refereed UGC CARE journals
(other than SCI/SCIE/ESCI/SCOPUS).
Authorship Distribution:
- 100% incentive in case of a single author.
- 60:40 ratio in case of two authors.
- 60:20:20 ratio in case of three authors.
- For more than three authors, the distribution shall follow the same proportional pattern.
4. Financial Incentives for Filing Patents
Faculty members are encouraged to file patents for innovative research work. Seed money and financial support for patent filing may be provided based on the recommendations of the R&D Committee.
R&D Committee
The R&D Committee is constituted to:
- Evaluate the quality of research papers.
- Verify the genuineness of seminars, conferences, and workshops.
- Recommend financial assistance for conference participation and professional body memberships.
- Recommend financial support for patent filing.
